All about wheat

What you’ll need: a cultivator, seeder, harvester which has a header for grain.

How to use it: you can use it as food for your chickens and pigs or as husk for composting (when you’re using a special harvester).

What are its special characteristics? You can use its straw by either selling it or using it as bedding for your farm animals, like cows and pigs. Eventually, all of it will turn to manure.

All about barley

What you’ll need: a cultivator, seeder, harvester which has a header for grain.

How to use it: you can use it as food for your pigs or as husk for composting (when you’re using a special harvester).

What are its special characteristics? You can use barley straw to sell it. Alternatively, it can also be repurposed as bedding for your farm animals, like cows and pigs. Eventually, all of it will turn to manure. You get the biggest yield with barley, so it’s a great choice. And it’s by far the best source for chaff.
